Dr. Ray Alam’s passion for orthopedics lead him to NY Physical Therapy & Wellness in 2011, where he has been the clinical director at our Franklin Square location since 2016.
Ray received his doctor of physical therapy (DPT) from the New York Institute of Technology in 2012. Prior to that, he received his master of science in physiology and a bachelor of science in biology from St. John’s University in Queens.
Ray specializes in sports injury and post-operative care for procedures such as thumb CMC (basal joint) replacement and treatment of neurological deficits and orthopedic pathology. Ray’s work includes modifications to the Missouri Home Care’s health assessment tool to evaluate balance deficiency among geriatric patients.
In his spare time, Ray enjoys spending time with his family and friends and various hobbies that allow him to be active such as plyometric exercises and soccer.
